Training from the 25th of October to 3rd of November 2025 in France : Utopian Thinking: Youth Perspectives on Collective Decision-Making

Dear everyone,

We are excited to share that we have been chosen as the Greek partners for an inspiring training course in France!

This project is for you if you want to:

  • explore how utopian thinking can support mental well-being and creativity in youth work;

  • discover how media shapes our visions of the future and learn to create positive narratives;

  • connect imagination and hope with practical youth work tools;

  • exchange experiences with other youth workers from different countries;

  • return home empowered with new ideas, methods, and a supportive international network!

Who ?

For youth workers of any age living in:
🇬🇷 Greece, 🇫🇷 France, 🇪🇸 Spain, 🇮🇹 Italy, 🇵🇹 Portugal, 🇩🇪 Germany

Where?

In Laroin (near Pau), France – a charming village at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains, surrounded by nature and rich cultural heritage.

When ?

📅 25 October – 3 November 2025 (including travel days)

Accomodation ?

🏡 Bungalows at a campsite in Laroin.
Rooms are shared, with a friendly and community-like atmosphere.
Meals will be vegetarian/vegan, prepared in line with the project’s sustainability and inclusion values.

How to arrive ?

Closest airports: Bordeaux and Toulouse (then train or bus to Pau).
Other nearby airports: Lourdes and Biarritz.
Connections from Paris to Pau also available.
Blablacar and trains are common and easy options in France.

What will happen ?

Main Goals
✨ Equip youth workers with tools to use utopian thinking in daily practice.
✨ Strengthen awareness of the link between hopeful narratives and mental well-being.
✨ Promote media literacy and critical analysis of future portrayals.
✨ Foster resilience, creativity, and active youth participation.
✨ Build a European network of youth workers motivated to shape positive futures.

Workshops will include:

  • links between utopia and mental health

  • media literacy and narratives of the future

  • youth anxiety, resilience, and empowerment

  • creativity and civic engagement

  • designing, testing, and sharing new youth work activities
